FAQs

Q?

What is covered under the warranty?

A.

We are proud of our industry-leading warranty. We feel it is a comprehensive policy and you can find details on it by visiting http://shop.cleanbrands.com/pages/warranty-information

Q?

My CleanRest encasement has changed color, is this covered under the warranty?

A.

No, discoloration is a normal occurrence over time and it does not affect the performance of the encasement.

Q?

What is MicronOne fabric technology?

A.

MicronOne® fabric technology is the only material that is scientifically proven and independently tested to block out all bed bugs and micro-toxins down to one micron.

Q?

Can CleanRest accommodate a split box spring?

A.

We offer split box spring encasements for our King, California King and Hotel King products. We do not offer split box springs for Queen.

Q?

Can I use my CleanRest mattress encasement on a sleep number bed?

A.

Due to the fact Sleep number beds have wiring, you would have to puncture the encasement, so it would no longer be hypoallergenic or bed bug proof.

Q?

Should I wash my CleanRest encasement before installing?

A.

It’s up to you. Our encasements are pre-cleaned before being packaged, so it is not necessary to wash before installation; however, washing it will not compromise performance.

Q?

How often should I wash my CleanRest encasement?

A.

We recommend washing your encasement twice a year for our CleanRest Pro and Premium products. Our Simple line should not be washed more than once a year. Remember you’re not sleeping directly on the encasement, so it’s not coming in contact with your skin like a sheet would.

Q?

What settings do I use when washing CleanRest encasements?

A.

It varies from product to product.

Premium encasements (Mattress and Pillow encasements): Can be washed on a normal cycle using hot water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry by using a medium heat setting on your dryer.

PRO encasements (Mattress and Pillow): Can be washed on a normal cycle by using warm water and mild detergent. Tumble dry by using a medium heat setting on your dryer.

CleanRest Waterproof Mattress Protectors: Can be washed on a normal cycle by using warm water and mild detergent. Tumble dry by using a low heat setting on your dryer.

Simple encasements (mattress and pillow encasements): have limited wash durability and can be washed on a normal wash cycle with warm water and mild detergent. Tumble dry using a low heat setting on your dryer.

Box Spring encasements: We recommend that you DO NOT wash your CleanRest Box Spring encasement.

Spot Cleaning: You should clean up and/or remove excess liquids or fluids as soon as possible. Spot clean the affected area with a mild non-bleach cleaner and a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe dry after you have cleaned the area.

Q?

How do I wash CleanRest Mattress and Pillow encasements?

A.

When laundering your mattress and pillow encasements, in the event that you secured the Zip-N-Click zipper locking mechanism with the zip tie that was included in the accessory kit then:

(1) removed the zip tie – carefully snip it with a pair of scissors, being careful not to tear, or puncture the MicronOne fabric, and

(2) remove the encasement from the mattress and/or pillow and

(3) make sure that the zip-n-click zipper locking mechanism is closed in the position by hearing and feeling it “click” into place prior to washing and drying the encasement.

This process prevent potential damage to the zip-n-click zipper locking mechanism during the washing and drying.

If removing your fully-zippered encasement or waterproof mattress protector for laundering is physically difficult to do, then we recommend that you vacuum the top fabric to remove any allergens or micro-toxins from the surface area and/or clean the top fabric area with a damp cloth.

NOTE: Using bleach or an iron will void the product warranty

Q?

What side should I sleep on?

A.

When installing your encasement, make sure you locate that product tag that says “this side up”. That is the side you should sleep on.
